Vartest Laboratories, Inc. was one of the first laboratories to be added to the CPSIA’s list of accredited laboratories in 2008, and our GCMS, spectroscopy, and micro EDS/XRF equipment is capable of detecting lead, phthalates, and other toxic materials with superb accuracy across a variety of materials, as well as mapping the presence of lead and other chemical elements in complex products.
Vartest Laboratories is fully accredited and equipped to perform color assessment, durability, and other testing on high-visibility materials and garments, under standards specified in ANSI/ISEA 107-2010, ANSI/ISEA 207-2006, ASNZS 1906.4, ASNZS 4824, ASNZS 4967, CSA Z96-2009, CSA Z96-2015, EN 471-2003, and EN 469-2005/A1.

With a long history of service to the New York apparel and textile industries, Vartest provides, among other services, moisture and thermal management testing, ILAC/MRA ISO 17025 test reports to support Certificates of Compliance, and tests for fiber content, seam, colorfastness, and overall garment performance.
